New Moon is Stocking Up on New Blood

Jamie Campbell Bower has been cast to play Volturi leader, Caius in the Twilight sequel, New Moon. Campbell Bower says “Shooting has already begun, and I’m going over in June”. He also admits that being part of this popular series is quite exciting and he feels like it is a great thing to be a part of. Campbell Bower joins Noot Seear and Dakota Fanning as the members of the Italy-based clan of vampires. This casting has been slowly announced. Jamie says he knows who else will be cast in this glorious sequel but he isn’t allowed to tell. He also says, all the rumors online about new cast members are mostly false! He feels like he won’t get the same admiration as Robert Pattinson but still wants to be recognized for his work.
On another note, Alex Meraz has been cast as a werewolf. 7 things about Alex that u might want to know are…
1. "The camera loves him," agrees Trujillo. "Everywhere we go people are always saying, 'Good God, who is your friend.'"
2. He played in “New World”
3. He’s a serious dancer
4. Alex has studied mixed martial arts, and can kick vampire butt.
5. Getting the key role in Twilight was no fluke for the young actor.
6. Alex is madly in love with his Vietnamese-American wife Kim. They have a child named Somak.

"Date Movie" Movie Review (Feature Article) By: Sam Steinhauser
“Date Movie plays as if the worst two of the six writers of Scary Movie scribbled it down on the back of a cocktail napkin while on the way from their hotel to the set,” says Joshua Tyler. Date Movie is about a girl who is rather large and is trying to find her dream husband. Her family is very make-shift, having an Asian daughter, a Caucasian daughter, and an African-American father, none of which were adopted. Julia Jones, the rather large girl goes to a guy named “Hitch” who is supposedly a match-maker. He gets Julia to be extremely pretty and not fat anymore.
Julia then has the confidence to ask out the British guy who she finds attractive. The movie takes already funny movies and twists them a little to try to make them funnier. I found this movie hilarious. It was very unrealistic and stupid, but it was funny. I wouldn’t recommend this movie for younger viewers because they may not understand all the jokes and parodies.
Part of the movie was where they filmed a cat on the toilet, kind of constipated looking, for about 5 minutes. It clearly wasn’t even a real cat. It was funny at first but after like 30 seconds it got boring. There was also a part where they showed pointless flashbacks that had nothing to do with the plot line. I found it un-amusing.
So overall I would give this movie a C. It was hilarious but some parts were just totally unnecessary. I would recommend this movie to anyone who has seen Kill Bill and Lord of the Rings. Also, fans of the Scary Movie series may enjoy it.

Rabid Squirrel Found Outside School!Could this be a serious issue?
Just last Friday, while a Charter student (name withheld) was outside of our school, Cab Calloway, a furry, brown lump landed on his head. Another student passing by noticed the Charter student struggling to get the brown fur off his head. Eventually a large crowd was gathered around the two students.
The brown lump was later realized to be a rabid squirrel. The squirrel was wild and is now being held in captivity for testing. The Charter student was bitten, clawed, and is also being tested for rabies.
In this near death experience only one child was harmed. The helpful student is being tested but has so far had nothing suspicious. All ends well when you can catch a rabid squirrel…except…
The squirrel was found to be female and it is not known whether she has rabid kids. If rabid squirrel babies are running loose around the school, this may be a serious safety hazard. Superintendent, Robert Andrewjeski, is moderating the situation. As of March 1st, many school cancellations may be headed for Cab Calloway!
In a recent interview with Dean Rumshlag, she gave her opinion on the situation.
“In my opinion, all the kids should not continue going to school while the squirrel(s) remain loose. If we all just stay away from the school for a month and let the local animal control find the babies, there may be a chance that the situation could die down.”
Dr. Hocking was in agreement, “Students should not have to worry about their safety while they’re at school. Coming to school should not be a life or death situation. Hopefully Dr. Andrewjeski will come to his senses and cancel school for as long as it takes to catch the squirrels.”
To protect yourself from being a victim of one of the rabid squirrel babies, we advise that you where a strand of nuts around your neck with small amounts of lead in them.
Will we have off school? Or will we all be put at risk?....
